Techs and Specs
The latest incarnation of the Gullwind is sporting some noticeable changes to her original design, thanks to a government sponsored contractor and resulting charter. Aside from the obvious additional pair of laser batteries, a universal airdock was added to the crew deck. This mandated moving the lifeboat aft to the passenger deck, which is a plus for any fares as such accomodations are a bonus to travellers. A shuttle deck was added aft of the maintenance deck, housing a small atmospheric capable craft and other larger items that the crew wishes not to maneuver around on the operational decks. Light armor plating was also added into the equation. However, all these upgrades resulted in a reduced cargo capacity, but the crew feels this quirk was well worth the additional perks.
In the diagram above, deck 1 is the Bridge with 1a above being the flying bridge and 1b below is the forward maneuver jet deck. Deck 2 is the Crew Deck, 3 is the Passenger Deck, deck 4 is the Engineering Deck, and Deck 5 is the Shuttle Deck. Aft of that is the cargo hold (6) with two elevator accessways at (6a) and the cargo arm (6b), and finally the engine room (7) and aft maneuver jet banks along the exterior, with additional maneuver jets located along the engine pods as well.
